Art Room II with NVC Remembrance
CREATE and PLAY in a ‘Should-free’ Online Makerspace

Fridays – 11:15 am to 12:30 pm, Eastern
Cost: Free offering

Is a project calling you? Something just begun or almost finished? Or perhaps you want to clean your work area and you would enjoy company while doing it? Lastly, do you want to dedicate a little time each week to getting into creative flow in a communal space (like your favorite art room, only this time online)?

Here’s your invitation to join other makers in a relaxed online space, during time set aside to work on whatever project you wish. There is an NVC aspect to it, and NVC experience is not required; we’ll just start each session with a quote, poem, or song.

Art Room II will be open every Friday from 11:15 to 12:30 Eastern. The start date is May 5, and there’s room for eight. There is no set fee for this specific offering (although the next one, Art Room III, may have a fee associated with it).

If you have any questions, or want to register, email NSWIFT1 (at) me [dot] com
There are five spaces left!

“As in all journeys, there will be advances and setbacks; there will be times of soaring and times of retreat, times of rest and times of teaching, times of learning and times to let new knowledge settle into silent wisdom.”

Book-based Workshop

The Artist’s Way at Work & in Your Life: A 12-Week Online Book-based Workshop

Credit/permission: Images used with Julia Cameron’s wish for every creative joy and success.

January, 12, 2021 at Noon Eastern with a one-hour free overview session and prep-session for participants. At this session, we agreed upon dates/times and reviewed agreements

The Artist’s Way at Work. A 12-week program to “assist you in whatever work you pursue. The result will be a heightened sense of adventure, excitement, creativity, and satisfaction — not only in your business, but in your life as a whole.”  Source: book cover.

This workshop is for anyone, it is for you. It is for:

  • business owners contemplating a change of business focus
  • artists whose next step might be the world of online sales
  • anyone in career transition
  • anyone looking at early retirement
  • executives who want to better care for themselves and their co-workers
  • anyone seeking fulfillment, meaning, recognition, or value in their work
  • professionals who want to gain clarity around the ‘stuck’ places,
for example, “do I leave?” or “do I stay?”
  • seekers who want accompaniment and encouragement with “the Artist’s Way” program because they’ve done it and they know it works
  • anyone curious about how structured creativity like this can provide direction
  • anyone wondering how to share their creative work
  • people who long to make contributions that are beneficial for all, with deep longings for growth, freedom, support, etc.

This is an invitation to the creative spirit.

A part of you might be thinking, I could just get the book and work the program by myself. Yes, of course you could, and I would encourage you to do that. That is exactly what I did two years ago.

And then while I was working through the book it occurred to me how wonderful it would be to have accompaniment, group energy and support. That’s what this workshop is about.

”Adapting their techniques for fostering creativity as a means to spiritual fulfillment for the workplace, the authors have shown that people can thrive at their jobs when they take time to nurture their spirit and listen to their thoughts. The book features psychological guidance, anecdotes, and exercises to assist the reader in sorting out the multitude of happenings, commitments, and choices in one’s life.”
